Marble Matcha Pound Cake

Marble Matcha Pound Cake

Craving a treat that’s as delicious as it is beautiful? 💚

This soft and fluffy Matcha Marble Pound Cake is perfect for an indulgent afternoon dessert or a bright, energizing breakfast to start your day. ☀️

The recipe calls for plenty of matcha powder, so we recommend using culinary-grade matcha, but feel free to use ceremonial matcha if you want an extra vibrant flavor.

Ingredients

Steps

Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease the baking pan with butter.
In a bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until light and fluffy.
Gradually mix the eggs into the butter.
In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the butter and egg mixture in three parts.
In the bowl you used for the dry ingredients, mix the matcha powder with the milk into a smooth paste. Then add a third of the batter and mix well.
Make a few wells in the light-colored batter and pour the matcha batter into them. Gently fold to create a marble effect, but be careful not to overmix.
Těsto vlij do vymazané formy a vrch uhlaď stěrkou.
Bake for 50–60 minutes. After 15 minutes, open the oven and score the top of the pound cake with a sharp knife. Check if the cake is done by inserting a skewer into the center. If no batter sticks to it, remove the cake from the oven.
Let the pound cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then remove it and let it cool completely.
